Steve Hillier is a keyboard player and vocalist from the U.S. who released his first album in 2018. Before that he spent 30 years as a sideman behind soul and blues recording artists Bobby Stringer and Betty Padgett.
Steve started playing piano and composing music as a teenager growing up in Darien, Connecticut. His music crosses genres, from the blues-rock album Let’s Talk About It, to his instrumental jazz single Sunday Groove/Jazz Waterfall, to his progressive rock EP Moving Star.
Steve released two new songs in Dec. 2023, Musician’s Blues and Nightwatch, a follow-up EP Wintertime in January 2024 and a single Every Night in February. He also has more music being recorded right now for release throughout 2024. His newest music crosses from blues-rock to jazz-rock with hints of progressive rock and soul. His lyrics talk of love, passion, the need for peace, compassion, inclusiveness, growing old and spirituality.
